I did get the pink and white steampunk underwear almost finished.
- The petticoat still needs its closure. I'm tempted to add some lace to though...and maybe some ruffles...
- The ruffled back piece is almost done. I need to cover the raw edges of the ruffles and add the 'waistband' and some way to attach it to the petticoat of course. A tie is tempting...easier than the buttons I was originally planning. And would probably redistribute the weight better as well...
- The corset is pretty much put together. I need assistance from a friend to round off the edges of the corset bones and then it'll be pretty much smooth sailing from there. Round the bones, baste the lining and outer fabric together, bind all the edges, add the lace and then comes the flossing! I've got several shades of floss picked out, I think I knew which one I'm going with.
Once all that's done, I think my next project needs to be some work clothes. Because I am consumed with ennui over my current wardrobe choices. I think I need a few new skirts. Time to raid the fabric and pattern stash! Oh and an Easter dress...honestly I might not bother with that. Easter's so early this year that I can't wear what I would like to anyways. Maybe I'll just make a swiss dot sundress for the summer.
Work clothes ideas: I have some turquoise and silver corduroy. And an awesome pair of comic printed pants I started years ago. I could finish those...New work clothes AND a UFO!

Pink and White Steampunk Underwear
Is coming along very well. The basic petticoat is done except for the closure. And I started the additional ruffled panel that'll button to the back for extra floofiness. And the corset is well underway. I think the corset is going to end up being very elaborately decorated -- flossing, lace and ribbons. Oh my.
My goal for this weekend is to get this project mainly finished. If not completely.

Build Day - Airship Archon Events
Well, Build Day was more hanging out than working on projects. Which honestly bothers me a little bit. If you're going to a build day at least have something to work on. Of course, part of my issue is with myself because I could have ignored all the chatting and hanging out and worked on projects.
Anyways, I finished the baby quilt!! It is DONE!
And after I got home, I worked on cutting out the double layered interlining for my corset. So that's good too. I'm doing a double layer because all I have is blue denim and its a white corset. Don't want it to show through the white satin, so I'm doing a layer of muslin then the denim. Then lining. Wow, it's going to be a heavy duty corset isn't it?

Close up of the binding, which ended up narrower than planned but I think it looks good |

Weekend and Build Day Sewing
I've apparently been hiding, huh? My lack of sewing is due to a variety of things - work and other busy-ness, a trip home to see my parents, and the fact that it has been so cold most of the time here in Ohio that it's almost impossible to sew in my basement.
That said, I have a weekend off and a build day to attend with the Archon on Sunday, so hopefully I'll get quite a few things done this weekend.
Projects for the Build Day:
Baby quilt - This is actually partially quilted. I need to finish quilting it and do the binding. Since the shower is March 3, I definitely need to work on this.
Lobster tail bustle from American Duchess' tutorial - I missed my deadline on this. Might take it with me to the Build Day though
Pink and white underwear set - deadline March 25 (for the Historical Sew Fortnightly challenge). This has been coming along well. The petticoat needs hemmed and then needs the waistband done. And the ruffles. This will definitely go with me to the Build Day. I also need to work on the corset.
Easter dress - deadline March 31. I'd really like to do a dress for Easter. If I can decide on a pattern, I might take this with me to cut out.
Maybe the Embroidered quilt to pin together and maybe start sewing.

Quickie update! - Keeper of the Keys corset and weekend sewing plans
The Keeper of the Keys corset is DONE. Not too sure how its gonna work out, because it's rather armor like...Guess we'll see tomorrow!
What I'd like to do this weekend:
1. Finish my pink and white petticoat and start the ruffles.
2. Make my lobster tail bustle, especially since I want to make it for the Historical Sew Fortnightly Challenge #3 Under It All which is due on the 11th.
